ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The GED Instructor is responsible for instruction designed to help students pass the GED exams. Instruction is designed for at-risk youth in a small group setting (6 - 10 students per class) in an accredited alternative school operated in partnership with local school districts.

The Riverfront School & Career Center is an accredited school that offers academic instruction and vocational training for youth. Specifically, the GED Instructor will participate in the support of youth 14 – 24 years old to attain their education and employment goals.

PAY & BENFITS:

  • $16.00/hour

Qualifications:

  • In accordance with the Oregon Health Authority rule, all K-12 staff must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption/accommodation before beginning work.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of classroom experience required working with at-risk and learning delayed youth ages 18-24.
  • Strong math skills, including algebra and geometry essential.
  • Experience with youth with special education needs is most helpful.
