Essential Duties:

As the Street Outreach Worker, you are responsible for greeting youth upon entering New Roads drop-in center; providing education, prevention services and referral information regarding issues of sexual abuse, domestic violence, trafficking, and other issues relevant to homeless and runaway youth. The Street Outreach Worker assists with classroom presentations, outreach to community groups and participates in regular street outreach shifts.

Pay & Benefits:

  • $15.00/hour

  • Monday – Friday daytime schedule.
  • One month of, paid, in-depth training is provided to ensure proper support as you transition into the agency.


  • Bachelor's degree in social work or another equivalent field
  • At least six months experience working with homeless, runaway street youth and/or at-risk youth.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain a positive mental attitude.
