As the Culinary Arts Instructor/Cook, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a Culinary Arts Training Program for youth in an alternative high school. Through the training program you will teach students about health standards, food sanitation rules, kitchen basics, baking skills nutrition requirements, help students explore culinary career options, and more. You will also plan and prepare school breakfasts and lunches for students at Riverfront School and Career Center.

The Riverfront School is an accredited alternative school that partners with local school districts to provide individual education opportunities to youth. Riverfront's mission is to "guide and support youth in developing the knowledge, responsibility, and the social skills necessary for productive citizenship." Riverfront also operates as a Career Center for students with the goal to link academic and occupational learning for each youth.
People who excel in this role have at least one year experience meal planning and preparation for up to 30 people. One year of experience with at-risk youth and previous curriculum design is helpful. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
