Looking Glass Community Services is actively recruiting a Director to join our Homeless Youth Services team!

Brief Overview of the HYS Director Position

The Homeless Youth Services Director is responsible for the effective & efficient operation and performance of all agency programs providing services to our homeless youth & families. You will ensure compliance with all agency and program operational policies, as well as compliance with COA, contracts, and licensing standards. You will be responsible for overseeing the selection, hiring, orientation, training, supervisor, evaluation, and disciplining of staff and volunteers. You will implement program development and refine procedures where appropriate. You will manage the appropriate documentation and retention of client records and statistics. You will also develop and monitor the program budget and ensure compliance with fiscal policies, as well as other duties.

Essential Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's degree in psychology, social work, or closely related field is preferred. Professional experience may be accepted in lieu of education. Certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional is preferred. Knowledge of developmental issues of children, adolescents, and young adults, and working knowledge of issues related to youth experiencing homelessness is crucial for this role.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $73,000 - $80,000, dependent on experience.
  • The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) options, and more!
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual rate starts at 18 hours per month, equivalent to 5.4 weeks/year in the first year of employment. PTO accrual rate increases with tenure at the agency.
  • Paid in-depth training to ensure a successful transition into the agency and position.
  • May qualify for Oregon behavioral health loan repayment programs and federal Public Student Loan Forgiveness programs.

Overview of the Homeless Youth Services Program

HYS is a group of three emergency shelter and crisis counseling programs. These services help youth get their lives back on track and provide the chance to reunite with their families. Station 7, New Roads, and our Rural Program in Cottage Grove serve our clients in a way that equips them with basic needs, emergency shelter, and the tools necessary to advocate for themselves.
