Description

We are looking for a Host or Hostess to be the first point of contact for our members. Host/Hostess responsibilities include greeting members, and escorting members to their table. For this role you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our members have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. You should be available to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.


Ultimately, you'll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our members.


Responsibilities


  • Welcome members and their guests to the club
  • Manage reservations
  • Escort members to assigned dining or bar area
  • Provide menus and announce their servers name
  • Greet members on their departure
  • Coordinate with service staff about available seating options
  • Maintain a clean reception area
  • Cater to members and their guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
  • Answer incoming calls and address members questions
  • Assist service staff as needed

Requirements and Skills


  • Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess
  • Understanding of restaurant etiquette
  • Familiar with health and safety regulations and have a Food Handlers card
  • Experience in managing reservations
  • Demonstrate customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
  • Availability to work shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays
  • Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
