JOB SUMMARY:

  • Provide excellent service to all members and guest of the Shadow Hills Country Club.
  • Provide professional attention and communication skills as they relate to contact by people in person and by telephone or intercom systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Meet and greet all golf course patrons.
  2. Keep members', guests', and rental clubs cleaned.
  3. Pick and clean driving range balls.
  4. Clean and stock fleet of 60 golf carts as members finish.
  5. Keep the club care floors and counter, driving range, power and pull carts and grass retention areas neat and clean.
  6. Opening and closing cart and club care facilities.
  7. Have knowledge of products, rules and golf etiquette.
  8. Club and Shoe care.
  9. Communicates with and reacts to request from membership and guests, keeping the Supervisors informed of issues or concerns. Workweek may routinely exceed 40 hours.
  10. Must be willing and able to work non-traditional schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  11. Ensures full understanding of and adherence to applicable policies/procedures and state/federal regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma preferred
  2. Must have a strong understanding of the game of golf, rules, tradition and integrity of the game
  3. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
  4. Must be minimum of 17 years old with a valid driver's license.
  5. Must have excellent time management, listening, phone, and communication skills.
  6. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  7. Must be flexible in schedule/hours
  8. Must have the ability and skills for planning, communication and conflict resolution
  9. Must have strong customer service orientation and skills.
  10. Displays positive acceptance of demanding scheduling needs.
  11. Must be willing and able to adhere to Appearance Standards of Shadow Hills Country Club.
  12. Must be able to successfully pass background check pre-employment drug screen.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  1. Must be able to lift and carry upwards of twenty-five (25) pounds.
  2. Respond to visual and aural cues.
  3. Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  4. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment and make quick decisions simultaneously as required.
  5. Must have manual dexterity to operate all golf and office equipment, including but not limited to copiers, faxes, computers, etc.
  6. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working from assigned work area.
  7. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, bright lights, and noise.
  8. Must be able to spend extended periods of time walking, standing, or sitting.
