POSITION SUMMARY

The part-time Coordinated Enrollment Specialist will provide administrative support to assist families with young children with eligibility, selection, and placement in one of Lane County's Preschool Promise programs. Additionally, during the slower season, this position will assist families with resource navigation as needed.

In the day-to-day the Coordinated Enrollment Specialist supports Preschool Promise enrollment by communicating with families and providers via phone calls, emails, and text messages, processing applications, and reviewing submitted documents to ensure eligibility and proper placement.

Individuals successful in this position are comfortable with technology and various platforms, have enthusiasm for data entry and for providing excellent service to families, and demonstrate strong communication skills and follow-through. They have a high standard for accuracy and attention to detail and enjoy working collaboratively with others in a seasonally fast-paced environment.

This position is a part-time, 25 hour per week role with benefits.

Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English are strongly preferred.

  • Communicate with all families and partners using trauma-informed practices and a high degree of customer service.
  • Develop a deep understanding of program requirements.
  • Oversight of and comfort with working within databases and spreadsheets.
  • Provide a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and professionalism.
  • Assist with and participate in community tabling events. Events may occur on evenings or weekends.
  • This position may require the use of a personal vehicle to attend work-related events and activities from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required/Necessary Skills, Knowledge, & Education

  • Associates degree with work experience; or 2 years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Ability to use culturally appropriate communication to clearly and concisely correspond, both orally and in writing
  • Accurately execute extensive data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight timelines
  • Organized and pays close attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Desired Skills and Knowledge

  • Bilingual and bicultural in Spanish and English - preference will be given to candidates who meet this standard

SALARY STATEMENT

The budgeted lifespan salary range for this position is currently $20.99-25.19 per hour. We offer a bilingual pay differential for eligible employees.
