Individuals assigned to this position are responsible for supporting long-range planning projects, including facility development, long-term service design, metropolitan planning coordination, strategic planning, grant writing, and research studies, and may also assist with short range planning. Responsibilities vary according to the nature of the projects assigned, but often involve coordination with internal and external staff, developing and managing consultant scopes of work, managing a staff team, budget, and project schedule, and general project management.

Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in planning or related subject from a recognized college or university
• A minimum of two (2) years of planning experience

Preferred:

• A master's degree in planning or related subject from a recognized college or university
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in transportation planning
