Description

Bilingual (Spanish) QMHP

Odyssey Community Counseling at Emergence is excited to announce a new Bilingual QMHP position in our integrated mental health care center. If you are just starting in your therapy career and want to join a team that is dedicated to integrated mental health treatment, and need a place where training, clinical supervision, team collaboration, and support for your licensure - this is the place for you! We love training QMHPs in neurofeedback, integrated trauma modalities, and integrated co-occurring treatment.

Conventional wisdom tells us that many people with mental health struggles also have underlying substance use disorders. Research shows that providing integrated services when a client has a co-occurring addiction and mental health concern improves the rate of recovery in both areas, and improves overall life functioning. Neuroscience supports that addiction is a brain disease and needs to be treated equally and in combination with mental health treatment. As a result, Odyssey has embraced an integrated approach and our mental health counselors are also trained in topics central to treating addiction. We offer neurofeedback, psychiatric medication management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Attachment Based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and systems-based relationship therapy.
