Looking Glass is currently recruiting for an energetic, passionate, and organized Grant Writer to join our team! We need someone who can use their descriptive writing skills and is ready to be responsible for the full range of activities required to research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation, corporate and government funding sources. Please note that grant success will not be considered when evaluating the pay rate of this position, although it is a performance metric in evaluations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Course studies in Grant Writing with an emphasis on business, office administration or related field. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Experience: 2-3 years progressively responsible grant writing work
Availability: Monday - Friday 32 to 40 hours/week
(working remotely with home office setup but in-office work stations will be available and necessary at times)

In this role, the Grant Writer manages the full lifecycle of grant development, from researching funding opportunities to preparing, submitting, and tracking proposals and reports for foundation, corporate, and government funders. They collaborate closely with internal teams to gather necessary information, ensure compliance with reporting requirements, and maintain accurate records and data. Strong writing, editing, and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and communicate funding needs clearly. The role also requires knowledge of fundraising strategies, prospect research techniques, and donor stewardship, as well as a high level of attention to detail, cultural sensitivity, and a level of professionalism appropriate to the role.
