Job Description

This role will collect and process urology related records (labs, imaging, chart notes from other providers, urgent care or emergency room) for upcoming patient appointments. Each medical records team member is responsible for 2-3 providers schedules and a shared task schedule for extra duties within the team (processing incoming faxes, department phone calls, etc). Daily activities include taking records related calls from patients, monitoring your assigned providers schedules and other in-boxes obtain or release records as requested, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be flexible to changing priorities, willing to learn/receive feedback, and able to problem solve and think quickly to make logical decisions in an independent environment.

Competencies / Skills

  • Must be flexible, quick learner, team player
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to work simultaneously in different computer applications (EMR, Imaging programs, outside portals, Teams, etc.)
  • MS Office + Strong keyboarding/10 key
  • HIPAA compliance or other high confidentiality practices
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-motivated, driven, does not need to be prompted to complete tasks
  • Ability to organize your day and manage time effectively
  • Must be able to communicate in both written and verbal form clearly and effectively to physicians, patients and coworkers.
  • Must develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with physicians and staff.

Qualifications (Required)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of relevant medical or similar back office/administrative experience
  • Proven experience working independently and in a team environment

This position is in office Monday- Friday 8am-5pm, after 6 months, depending on job performance, employee could transition to a hybrid position with a work from home opportunity.
